The story is about the life experiences of a person who, from early childhood, was made to feel that world was a jaded place because of the dysfunctional family structure she was born in and the treatment she received from the people she should have been able to trust to help and protect her. Growing up, she constantly had to deal with unscrupulous characters that did not have her best interest at heart.
Her grandmother was a praying woman who loved her and ensured she learned who Jesus was. She had encouraged her to call on Him during troubling times.
About Diane
A Life Devoted to Faith, People, and Purpose
Diane L. Rodriguez-Burton is the Assistant Pastor at Greater Works Baptist Church in Jonesboro, GA. She is also the Youth Pastor and Teen-Tween Sunday School Teacher. In 2011, she founded a Women’s Empowerment Ministry to inspire women from all backgrounds.
Born and raised in Louisiana, she is a devout Christian and has dedicated her life to preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She is married to Senior Pastor Robert L. Burton and has two children.
Pastor Diane is a retired Civilian Human Resources Officer and has worked for the U.S. Federal Government for over 30 years. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Christianity and is a published author of several books. Known for her storytelling abilities, she uses her experiences and training to effectively minister to diverse audiences.
